Let us not weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Gal 6:9 (NIV)
it already is hard enough trying to hold firm to these 2 verses. fatigue/weariness (in the form of discouragement, trials, situations, etc) never fail to hit no matter how hard we try. and to make things worse, sometimes the harder we try, the harder they hit.
and sometimes at the end of all ur good intentions or efforts, you feel you've been unappreciated (or underappreciated), backstabbed or not knowing where you've gone wrong (if you have, to begin with)
it's tough being human.
but take heart. Jesus himself could not make everyone happy. and for all His good intentions and love, His reward was completely not what was deserving.not that we need to be people-pleasers or bootlickers. they are the ones who do things with hidden agendas/motives.
for us, let's put love as the starting point for the things we do. yeah. it hurts when people do not reciprocate the way we think they should. but like the verse says, let us not weary in doing good.
we'll do it all for love.
we'll just give our utmost for His highest.
